Set in 2007 and inspired by true events. This story is told almost entirely inside a swimming centre, through the eyes of Maya and her two children who are refugees.
The family are discovered by a caretaker and It’s clear they’ve been staying here for some time. Late in the evening and with no other options, he lets them stay in the centre overnight.
After-hours; the only freedom they have is within the walls of the building at night. Maya encourages her children to face their fears of the deep waters in the swimming pool. She questions what the future holds for her children as she is left to decide whether to continue making the most improbable place, a home
